We want everyone to love going home

Ikano Bostad owns, develops and constructs tenant owned apartments and rental apartments. We build cleverly planned, pleasant apartments, both tenant owned and rental – and preferably close together. Our ambition is to create tight-knit neighbourhoods where our tenants can choose how they want to live.

You’ll recognise a newly built Ikano apartment by its value for money, and how every bit of space is used to its full extent. That the heart of your home, the kitchen, is from IKEA is a given.

Ikano was originally part of the home furnishings company IKEA, which was founded in 1943 by Ingvar Kamprad in Älmhult in southern Sweden. In 1988 Ikano became a separate group owned by the Kamprad family. Ikano has now established its own identity, but is still run by a strong cost-consciousness and the desire to find new, unconventional solutions. Ikano Bostad is included in the business area Real Estate, one of the four that make up Ikano.

Our values

Three basic values guide all activities at Ikano Bostad: daring to be different, working together, and let common sense and simplicity lead your way. These values help us deliver on our overall customer promise: on fair terms.

Our sustainability work

As a housing company we have an important part to play in a sustainable society. By building space-smart rental and tenant-owned apartments we create neighbourhoods with greater variety, where many people can afford to live.
